Why use a strong password generator
A random password created with a large character pool and enough length greatly increases entropy, which makes brute force attacks impractical. This tool runs fully in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. Prefer a password manager and enable two factor authentication when available.
How to generate a secure password
- Pick a length between 16 and 24 for everyday use, and more for sensitive accounts.
- Select lowercase, uppercase, digits, and symbols, then exclude look alike or ambiguous characters if needed.
- Require at least one character per set to satisfy common password rules.
